The IMM Invest Plus state aid scheme will be extended, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced on Thursday.
Approximately 11,500 Romanian companies will benefit from this state aid, with a budget of approximately 2.5 billion euros.
"We continue to support Romanian capital, we are extending the IMM Invest Plus state aid scheme this year, with all its components. Around 11,500 Romanian companies will benefit from this state aid, with a budget of approximately 2.5 billion euros. The support comes in the form of grants as well as guarantees for loans, and the maximum amounts of aid granted to companies have been increased," the prime minister said, according to Agerpres.
State Aid Scheme IMM INVEST PLUS 2023
In order to overcome the economic difficulties created by Russia's invasion of UKRAINE, the Romanian Government approved by GEO 99/2022 amended by GEO 180/2022, state aid scheme SME INVEST PLUS 2023 and its components – IMM INVEST ROMANIA, AGRO IMM INVEST, IMM PROD, GARANT CONSTRUCT, INNOVATION and RURAL INVEST, through which state aid can be accessed in the form of loan guarantees and in the form of grants.
General characteristics of the State Aid Scheme SME INVEST PLUS
- The guarantee percentage is a maximum of 901% of the loan value.
- Maximum loan amounts
- 5 million for working capital
- 10 million lei for investment projects
- The maximum duration of financing is 72 months for investment loans and 36 months for working capital loans/lines of credit.
- The maximum cumulative value of state-guaranteed financing that can be granted to a beneficiary under the program cannot exceed 10,000,000 lei, respectively 5,000,000 lei for beneficiaries in the field of primary agriculture, aquaculture and pisciculture.
- The maximum value of financing granted to beneficiaries in the sugar beet processing industry cannot exceed 10,000,000 lei for loans/credit lines for working capital financing.
- For investment loans, at the request of beneficiaries, a grace period of maximum 18 months may be granted for the repayment of the principal.
- The value of the grants is within the limit of the accumulation resulting from the value of the risk fee, the management fee, related to the guarantee granted, throughout the validity period of the guarantee granted, and the related interest granted for a maximum period of 12 months.
- The grant awarded to a beneficiary cannot exceed the equivalent in lei of the amount of:
- 2,000,000 Euros/company/ATU
- 250,000 euros/enterprise for beneficiaries in the field of primary agriculture
- 300,000 euros for beneficiaries in the aquaculture and fishing sector.
- Interest on loans/credit lines for financing working capital and investments is subsidized 100% for a period of 12 months by the Ministry of Finance, except for those granted to beneficiaries of the AGRO IMM INVEST component.
