The Ministry of Finance and "Morning Glory with Răzvan Exarhu", Rock FM, with the support of the Bucharest Blood Transfusion Center, are launching, between April 8-17, a new edition of the FIDELIS government bond program, in which blood donors receive the best interest rate.

Investments in low-risk instruments like this offer protection of invested capital, a constant flow of non-taxable income and diversification of the investment portfolio. Moreover, by getting involved in such projects, investors bring tangible social benefits: with a single donation they save up to three lives, receiving the best interest rate in return. Beyond these, we also respond to those looking for a foreign currency instrument, with interests of up to 5% for the euro tranche", stated Minister Marcel Boloș.
The tranche dedicated to blood donors will apply to government bonds issued in lei, with a maturity of one year, with an interest rate of 7%, the highest offered in this edition.
Also, another benefit offered to donors is the 10-fold decrease in the minimum subscription threshold from 5,000 lei to 500 lei. People who provide proof of blood donation starting with can benefit from the advantageous conditions of the new issue. July 1, 2023.
We want this edition, through the installment dedicated to donors, to contribute concretely to stimulating blood donation by individuals, joining the efforts on this topic carried out at the national, local and private levels.
Euro-denominated government bonds, with interest rates of up to 51% per annum
At the same time, in addition to the special installment, the FIDELIS edition which debuts on Monday, April 8, will also contain the usual shows, respectively: government securities in lei, with maturities of 1 year and 3 years and annual interest of 6% and 6,85% respectively, and government bonds in euros, with maturities of 1 year and 5 years and annual interest of 4% and 5%, respectively.
The nominal value of a FIDELIS government bond is 100 lei for the issue in lei and 100 euros for the issue in euros, and the minimum subscription threshold is 5,000 lei and 1,000 euros, respectively.
Resident and non-resident individuals over 18 years of age can subscribe to FIDELIS government bonds denominated in lei and in euros, through the partner banks BT Capital Partners&Banca Transilvania, Banca Comercială Română, BRD – Groupe Société Générale and Alpha Bank, bonds that are listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
Zero commissions and non-taxable earnings
In the process of subscribing to FIDELIS government securities, no commissions are charged by intermediary banks, and the income obtained, both from interest and capital gains, is non-taxable.
Holders of FIDELIS government bonds issued under previous issues that have reached maturity can reinvest the undrawn balances at maturity by subscribing under this new issue.
