Job vacancy situation

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the number of job vacancies was 41.9 thousand, down by 3.4 thousand compared to the previous quarter, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) announced.

Compared to the same quarter of 2021, the number of job vacancies decreased by 3.8 thousand, and the job vacancy rate decreased by 0.09 percentage points.

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the highest vacancy rates were recorded in public administration (1.61%), entertainment, cultural and recreational activities (1.46%), transport and storage (1.44%), respectively water distribution; sanitation, waste management, decontamination activities (1.41%). A quarter of the total number of vacant jobs (10.5 thousand vacancies) was concentrated in the manufacturing industry, and the rate value was 0.95%.

The budgetary sector accounted for approximately 211% of the total number of jobs vacancies.

Thus, 4.4 thousand vacant positions were found in public administration, 3.1 thousand vacant positions in health and social assistance, and 1.3 thousand vacant positions in education.

At the opposite pole, the rate jobs Vacancies recorded the lowest values in construction (0.25%) and in other service activities (0.26%).

The fewest job vacancies were found in real estate transactions, other service activities, and in the extractive industry (0.1 thousand vacancies for each).
