The unemployment rate in Bucharest remained at 0.861% in January

The unemployment rate in the Capital remained at 0.861% in the first month of 2024.

According to Agerpres, which quotes the Municipal Employment Agency (AMOFM) Bucharest, 10,802 people did not have a job at the beginning of the year.

Of the 10,802 people registered in the records of AMOFM Bucharest, 1,708 were beneficiaries of unemployment benefits, and 9,094 were unemployed without benefits.

Unemployed people with high school education have the highest share in the total number of unemployed people registered in the records of AMOFM Bucharest (32,33%), followed by those with higher education (28,96%), and 18,67% graduated from vocational/arts and crafts school.

Unemployed people with secondary education represent 16.98% of the total registered unemployed, those with post-secondary education are 2.18%, and those with primary education and no education, 0.88%.
