Over 1,200 companies registered under Pillar II of Start-Up Nation Diaspora

The call for Start-up Nation Diaspora closed tonight.

Over 1,200 companies have registered under Pillar II of the Start-Up Nation Diaspora, according to an announcement made today by the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Constantin-Daniel Cadariu.

"I thank all the Romanians in the diaspora who chose to apply under Pillar II." Start-Up Nation – Diaspora and who, thus, decided to start a business here, at home. Romanian entrepreneurship is always open to new ideas, concepts and perspectives, inspired by models known abroad. Through the infusion of capital, in a maximum amount of 200,000 lei/beneficiary, we want to increasingly promote courage and initiative”, said Constantin-Daniel Cadariu.

The program was launched on July 19, and the initial deadline for submitting projects was set for September 1.

Subsequently, the registration period was extended until Monday, October 3, 8:00 p.m.

The decision to extend the deadline was made in the context in which some of the people who had set up businesses and who wanted to apply encountered difficulties in obtaining documents certifying their domicile or residence abroad in the last 12 months up to the time of registration.
