The Ministry of Finance extends the period during which sanctions are not applied for failure to comply with the 5 working day deadline provided for the transmission of invoices in the national electronic invoice system RO e-Factura, until May 31, 2024.
"Since the beginning of the implementation of the RO e-Invoice system, we have emphasized close and transparent collaboration with entrepreneurs. A new decision that reflects this commitment is that we have proposed extending by two months the period during which sanctions will not be applied to taxpayers who do not issue invoices in the RO e-Invoice system. I am also announcing two new functionalities in the system: From now on, the application can pre-fill a series of information about the user based only on the CUI, so that the taxpayer's work is easier. In addition, the simplified application also has a version translated into English for non-resident taxpayers registered for VAT purposes who are required to report invoices", explained Minister Marcel Boloș.
At the same time, the Ministry of Finance launched the simplified version of the e-Invoice application. The initiative's main objective is to increase the accessibility and ease of use of the tool for all taxpayers in the country.
The improved version comes with an intuitive interface and easier-to-use functionalities, so that every user can issue invoices in accordance with tax requirements, in a fast and efficient way. The application is available HERE.
The regulatory act also contains a series of provisions in the field of excise duties, in order to avoid blockages in the marketing of products containing tobacco, intended for inhalation without burning.
Thus, the tax stamp regime is introduced for products containing tobacco intended for inhalation without burning. This provision contributes to the protection of public health by reducing illegal trade and consumption of tobacco products.
It also regulates the obligation to store received products only in the spaces declared and authorized for the reception of products. The measure aims to ensure greater transparency and control over the tobacco product distribution chain.
