The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR), through the National Agency for the Mountainous Zone (ANZM), provides funding for investments in Romanian production!
The three support programs launched are aimed at residents of the mountain area for the establishment of:
- milk collection and/or processing centers in the mountain area;
- collection centers or collection and processing centers for wild berries, mushrooms and/or medicinal and aromatic plants from the spontaneous flora and/or culture in the mountain area;
- mountain sheepfolds.
The amount allocated to the programs is approximately 220 million lei. from the national budget, and the value of the projects differs depending on the type of investment being made.
Everyone interested should know that the principle by which accessing programs works is "first come, first served", for this reason, MARD encourages speed in submitting projects. The three investment programs will run until the end of 2022, and the related payments can be made until December 29, 2023.

The submission session will close on 21.11.2022, 23:59.
Livestock breeders can access the program for mountain sheepfolds and milk collection centers, and agricultural producers can access the program for milk processing centers and processing centers for wild berries, mushrooms, medicinal/aromatic plants. In the case of investments for the establishment of wild berries, mushrooms, medicinal/aromatic plants collection centers, only producers of wild berries, mushrooms, medicinal/aromatic plants are eligible beneficiaries.
Livestock breeders and agricultural producers can take FUNDING to establish a collection center, and the state offers a non-reimbursable financing that can reach an intensity of 90% of the maximum total eligible value, and for those who want to establish a mountain sheepfold or an integrated collection-processing center, the funding intensity is 50%.
The main eligibility condition is that the investment be made in the mountain area by applicants who carry out activities in the agricultural and/or food industry fields, and depending on the program accessed, there are also specific conditions.
The purpose of the programs is, on the one hand, to stimulate investments with Romanian capital, which leads to the creation of jobs and the maintenance of the active population in the mountain area, and, on the other hand, to support local producers to offer consumers quality products.
