Romania, the country with the highest inflation in the EU

Romania remains the country with the highest inflation in the European Union.

6.2% was the inflation rate in our country, down by 0.5% compared to March 2024, Agerpres announces.

Lithuania (0.4%), Denmark (0.5%) and Finland (0.6%) are the countries with the lowest inflation rate.

At the opposite end, Belgium (4.9%) and Croatia (4.7%) follow Romania in the top of countries with the highest inflation in the EU.

The National Bank of Romania (BNR) has revised upwards, to 4.9%, from 4.7% previously, the inflation forecast for the end of this year, and anticipates that it will reach 3.5% at the end of 2025.
